SPOOLZ Shakedown

Lets rewind back to August 2012, a little bit over a year ago. This was pretty much Dave's last drift day before things went sour & the R32 had to be taken off the road.

So with a lot of spare time on his hands, Dave had to diagnose what the problem was & see what he could do to get the car running again. Hoping it was only a small issue, unfortunately it wasn't. The motor had given in & it was time for a rebuild or another motor.
Now fast forward a bit over a year & this is where we are. The car has been off the road a little over a year & it was getting closer & closer to finishing/being back on the road.
Since I hadn't seen Dave in a while, a few text messages were exchanged & I came over to his house to see what he had been up to.
And what do we have here? New motor, freshly painted bay, garage life was almost at an end.
Cranked the motor, it was all swell except for minor set backs.
I'm not going to lie, it looks pretty awesome like this. With everything all done, motor in, minor set backs fixed, it was time for a tune!

With the tune done & the car running swell again, it was just a matter of time before SPOOLZ got to see the track for a shakedown.
On the 24th of August, a bit over a year since the car has been off the road, it was time for SPOOLZ to shine again! Driving Sports hosted an event at Sydney Motorsport Park which consisted of the skid pan & peanut.
Shakedown was a success! Now it's just a matter of getting used to the car & how it handles with the new motor & turbo setup.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any action shots of the drifting as I didn't have a long enough lens to reach, but I shall eventually.

P.S the new setup sounds awesome! Once it hit gate, I jizzed my undies. I may or may not upload a video, haha.
